Dear reader,

I’m blogging along with the Five Minute Friday’s word prompts. We free write for 5-minutes on a single word prompt. This month we’re doing 31 prompts along with #Write31Days.

Today’s Prompt: Plan

Start: 5-minutes.

We like to plan our lives, don’t we?

I’ve been trying to memorize Hebrews.

My memory is not as good as it was.

I used to memorize terminology for Physics, Anatomy, and Physiology.

Now, if I can remember what I went into the room to do, I’m a happy camper.

Everyone likes to quote the scripture passage in Jeremiah 29:11NIV

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

but in the KJV version of this same verse

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Plans vs Thoughts?

Are they the same?

I find comfort in the fact that God’s plan usurps my plan.

I find comfort in knowing that his thoughts (plans) are for my good.

Have you ever considered that when God rested on the 7th day what he rested from?

I’ve been thinking that maybe…

181 Words.

That maybe when God rested, he rested from all things.

Did he finish everything that is required for salvation?
